This was the place where it fell to on it's way to soon way down. It somehow still got on a windowframe for the night, so maybe the rats wouldn't have gotten it until I scouped it up after our feeder and other rescue pal called for help(her foot is still hurt). So I went there crawling.

I had one who was so rail-thin when he found me, I cannot bear to look at photos from then.
Mine came without a whiff of feral, which means he was tossed off a nearby bridge.
It has been over a year, and he's finally beginning to show personality beyond "scared."

i have no way of knowing but I think there is one more forward crow that recognises me. whenever i lay out peanuts on the window sill, other crows come, pick them up and fly away but that one always eats them on the window sill, hops on the windowframe and peeks into the office 🥹

Hmmmm actually.... after they replace the window they still need to come back to finish painting the windowframe 🤔 nobody knows how long that'll take.... maybe I should paint the walls instead already (not today though probs but maybe tomorrow if I wake up early)

when people get out of cars in movies, a lot of the time they put their hands around the inside of the car door, like around the open windowframe, and this weirdly ruins my immersion because i have never in my life seen someone do that. that's insane. you're going to smash your hand.
