#Wodehouse
Computer, please summarize everything PG Wodehouse ever wrote in ten seconds
rich dudes got freakier after butlers fell out of fashion, like say what you will about having domestic servants but clearly it was some sort of moderating force on old rich dudes having a fancy man follow you around saying shit like "oh dear sir, that wouldn't be very becoming"

correct! Threepwood is a Wodehouse reference
I assume Threepwood is from the P.G. Wodehouse novel, The Brinkmanship of Galahad Threepwood?

The best is probably what I left out, which was his love of P.G. Wodehouse and him telling me off the record how he did little walks in LA and London to visit places Wodehouse had mentioned/visited. He was very insistent that our conversations about Wodehouse were not to be mentioned.

Reading Wodehouse got me my job on Frasier. I wrote a Wodehousian novel, rabid Wodehouse fan David Lloyd read it (because a critic compared it to Wodehouse). David gave it to the Charles brothers who hired me for a pilot, which won me an offer from Frasier. None of it would've happened without PGW.

"The ethnonationalists at the party don't seem that moved" is a line Wodehouse would be proud of

The Chinese version of Service Model has an amazing title, a Wodehouse reference.
The translation for Jeeves & Wooster literally means "the all-powerful butler Jeeves"(万能管家吉夫斯), and the translation for service model is "the all-powerful butler Charles"(万能管家查尔斯).

A favorite Wodehouse trick, which I feel is under remarked, is playing with what you’re allowed to do in a text. Funny example from an early novel.

Once PG Wodehouse enters public domain I'm immediately releasing my 8 volume epic where Jeeves' vast mind is the only way to do battle with the machines.

Title: Butlerian Jihad
