Bit of both on a fresh Framework laptop. Had trouble getting it to recognize the Windows install stick / drivers. Sorted that with WoeUSB.
Then I realized I needed to setup partitions first using the Ubuntu USB stick, then install Windows, then install Ubuntu, then encrypt the Ubuntu partition. 😩

Install balenaEtcher on Ubuntu 24.04 or 22.04 for safer USB and SD flashing. It also covers the current 26.04 package issue and when WoeUSB is better for Windows media.

Next up was WoeUSB on Kali. Thought I was doing something big. Whole process broke down in error hell. Dependency issues, CLI weirdness, install script failed, USB didn’t boot. Hours lost. Soul drained. Finally I got all the dependencies installed manually, and digitally stood ten toes down!
