#Women-Annapolis
We’ve spoken with graduates of West Point and Annapolis about this. I would tell you what they said, but there are women here.
Execs from the company that helped foment a genocide are now taking their expertise to the US Army.

Those born after 1970 may be too young to know or remember that women weren’t allowed into any military academies. This changed following Pres Gerald Ford signing bill 94-106 into law 1975. The 1st women entered West Point, Annapolis, Colorado Springs, and New London CT 1976 graduating in 1980.

⚓ Rear Admiral Amy Bauernschmidt came up through the ranks the hard way, graduating from Annapolis, earning her wings, commanding a helo squadron, then a carrier, and now a carrier group.

And because Low-T Peter just pulled her promotion, she'll never get her second star.

Proud of you, Shipmate 🫡
Report: Hegseth torpedoed trailblazing San Diego admiral's promotion
Rear Adm. Amy Bauernschmidt was one of seven one-star admirals to have their promotions nixed — five of them women or people of color, the New York Times said.

One of my close friends in high school went on to Annapolis (second class year of women) and became an astronaut. She has flown 4 space shuttle missions.

Gloria Steinem spoke to Lefty's class at Annapolis *before* women were permitted to attend any of the service academies.
You can imagine the reception she endured and I find it ballsy as Hell that she chose this audience.
"The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off."

The U.S. Naval Academy marked 30 years, then 40 years of enrolling women with celebrations and fanfare. But today, on its 50th anniversary of coeducation, the Annapolis military college is doing nothing.
The Naval Academy enrolled women 50 years ago. It’s not celebrating.
The U.S. Naval Academy isn’t celebrating the 50th anniversary of women enrolling due to an executive order from President Donald Trump.

1 First female Naval Academy superintendent had 2 hr sit down with Hegseth. He laid out what she can and cannot do. For instance, Vice Admiral Yvette Davis was barred from speaking at a Women’s Leadership Forum in Annapolis next month. This has caused disharmony amongst midshipmen and women.

When Tom Clancy was still with a local publisher long ago, my mom went to his book signing in Annapolis. He refused to sign anything for her, saying, "My books aren't for women." Hahahaha, I dig how this turned out.

Oh, look, Seth Moulton, who tried so hard to reassure everyone that the media was trying to make him the bad guy on this issue, went ahead and voted in favor of banning trans women from competitive sports teams at West Point, Annapolis, and the Air Force Academy.
