What you think you know about homelessness is wrong. Homeless encampments are the tip of the iceberg. There are 6x more unhoused people in the US than documented.

Now Mayor-Elect Robicheaux, Democrats, Republicans, and everybody else in Georgia and elsewhere should read @brian-goldstone.bsky.social's "There Is No Place For Us", one of the NY Times' Top 10 books of the year, about #WorkingHomeless families in #Atlanta.

Absolutely stunned and honored to see THERE IS NO PLACE FOR US on this list.

I'm grateful beyond words to the five families who trusted me with their stories and allowed me to witness their struggle to secure a home.

How are they going to go #fromhimelesstohoused without help from more privileged people just help get them the fucking basic needs….like I don’t know food and fucking water and something to keep up their hygiene? “Just get a job” isn’t as easy as it sounds when you’re #workinghomeless
Today's the 3rd, we've been stalled at 30/250.

Next week I have 2 job interviews, ironically after work. It'd be great if we could get this goal met today.

1 place, I worked at. I used to steal a shower while working overnight.

If someone sends in $10, I'll share the story about stealing showers while on the job.

For anyone wondering, #workinghomeless & #crowdfunding isn't easy. Nor should I have to choose between #MABoosting others or my own because people of privilege won't #spare time or #funds to folks in need.

Sparing, sharing, replying, & regularly repeating is the only way to #KeepFolksAlive.
