Me, realizing I did 132% of my daily quota today and the end result is for my workqueue to stand at exactly the same number of claims I started with eight hours ago.
i never thought i'd be so glad to see my workqueue with over 200 requests in it. it was down to 10 last week, & i was worried i was gonna run out of work & have to go back into the normal WQs. i'm the only one who works this particular WQ. i don't wanna go back to working with everyone else 😅

The thing is I've done a lot of work with these kind of helpdesk/back end support functions and understanding the workflow is kind of ... basic.
At a very minimal level the team should have a workqueue management system that tells them they have X number of thousand outstanding queries...

If your controller is managing 20,000 buckets, you'll make 20k external API calls during controller startup full sync to verify buckets exist and their config is up-to-date (99.99% are) –during which you won't get to processing a new object soon enough, bc the workqueue is still full.
