The evercold worlbuilding seems a lot of fun compared to a lot of what xiv has done up to now so im really excited to see what they do this expac. On the other hand i absolutely have 0 interest in the normal and alliance raids. Two IPs people keep hyping that are just Ok in my opinion

How is saying too much worlbuilding and slow pacing leads to diversity issue? I don't see he mention that.

9. Asasssin's Apprentice: The first book in the Realm of the Elderlings series is a study in characterwork, vivid worlbuilding, and prose so beautiful you'll lose yourself in it for days. Politics, family drama, magic, war, and assassinations--this novel had everything I'd ever wanted and more.

- that said! I think worldbuilding--the Tolkien-esque, conlang, appendices and maps worlbuilding--can be a fun hobby! Write some short fiction set in your world, run a TTPRG in your world, compose the poetry from your world. That's writing. Write your The Hobbit and maybe LotR will come later

Ça me manquait d'avoir un blog dédié.

Doing some worlbuilding for DnD. There's a group with the motto: A shield stops a single arrow, a dagger stops ten thousand.
Oh oops, didn't mean to make this a quote post.
Silly mistake on my part, don't read into it.

Trump shouts out Russ Vought and then says, ominously, "we have some big surprises coming up in a few weeks, right Russ? He's gonna be one of the important people in the history of our country."

One more. This group is the most populous variety of troglodytes. A Neolithic civilization that cultivates strange subterranean plants/mushrooms, which is what gives them the distinct skin pigmentation.

I think Caves of Steel remains a good example for, say, combining genres and integrating worlbuilding into plot, but I would NOT recommend it as a gateway-to-genre book for a new reader looking to get into sci-fi.
