It is usually best to give vague and broad answers about your story to others. Protect your sparks. Your novel doesn't exist until you actually write it so stop blabbing so much and sit down and write instead. In your head novels are many and fantasy.

So, it looks like I will re-invent this novel fully and up the stakes, add in some direct villains and go for the adventure aspect.

My world and setting are really well understood by me so my focus is not on developing more setting but fully on adventure.

You won't remember.

You are today years old before you fully understand that when you create whole new worlds, you won't remember or retain the details. You may even find you forget you wrote that novel entirely. This isn't bs, you have storage problems.
