Some people cannot comprehend that the exodus from X is not 'liberal flight' but a lot of people deciding that the content on the platform - hate/extremism, disinformation, violent/nsfw content, low quality ads, lax responses to user reports, suppression of content - just can't be ignored any more.

Sadly the number of scam accounts is increasing here.
I've been more lax about checking before following back compared to X, but it looks like we'll have to be just as vigilant to avoid the "hello dears".

Fascists don't want unfettered capitalism - they want state-approved cronyism in their favor (that's one of the actual features of fascism!). It's one reason (among many), Musk has gone full fascist: if X is ever going to become an "everything" app, he needs lax regulation and guardrails removed.
Not sure how he ended up on "blackmail" either. It's straight market forces if you decide to not buy someone's product because the value (or anti-value in this case) is not worth the cost. You'd think all these cheerleaders for unfettered capitalism would understand that.

I will say I was scrutinized in february by LAX TSA for having a X marker and I personally have been advised to pause all international travel at this time and therefore unable to audition for canadian-based shows so I would not be surprised if they are rolling this out.
