Mind you Christa Pike was on a hunger strike as a last resort to save her own life to get this exact outcome. As someone with "shitty veins" (ER doctor's own observation) if I ever have to have an IV inserted or blood drawn it has to be done with like a vein xray thing.

There's a section where Clark is doing some investigative journalism but the puzzle is finding a plausible way to include things heard with super hearing or seen with xray vision without causing suspicion as to how he got the info.
