Xbuntuからの乗り換えだけど、軽くて扱いやすい。
Xbuntuもwindowsに比べればぜんぜん軽いんだけど、それよりも軽いなって思う。
ペンタブの設定も楽。マルチモニタ時のターゲットモニタの設定の話。
もっとも、それはcinammonだったからだけど。KDEやGNOMEにはターゲットモニタを設定できる項目があることは知っていたけど、cinammonにもそれがあって、助かった。
xfceのときは、最初は結構苦労した。
Xfceにも、この設定がついていてほしかった。これからつけてくれてもいい。

I'd second Mint or xBuntu as an intro - though I'd go for XFCE as desktop due to its visual similarity to good old W98/2k/XP and it being lightweight.
I personally don't like Ubuntu but it's OK as entry.

I can confirm that the packing is good and sensible.

I want to build it as a Linux machine which runs LLMs locally.

If interested: Get old donor laptops and install Linux on them (i like Mint, but Xbuntu is great on really old machines). Each laptop is its own problem (but minor so you solve it).
Then, give them to people in need of a decent machine.

Ese no lo conosco, pero el menu es variado (hay +de 400 disponibles), y en general la calidad promedio es muy buena.

So here's the flash BIOS, but it's best to go to the second screen to adjust things.
Playing around I managed to get Sparky to partially boot, Xbuntu come straight up, the safe graphics doesn't, #PopOS causes the machine to complain about "no shim"
Secure boot is obviously the issue
Still happy 😁

むろん例によって非常に非力な機なので，ubuntu の中でも軽量なバリエーションの Xbuntu を入れてみたい。これは本家 ubuntu が，デスクトップ環境に ともすれば重い GNOME を使っているに対して，Xfce という軽量軽快で知られたものを採用している。

For a bit, I used Xbuntu because it was light. But the wrong distro is horrible--I hated Gallium.

I use Linux Mint. It looks the most like Windows and it light.
For years I used Xbuntu as it was lightweight and worked well on really old machines, but it had quirks and Mint does the job. I tried Gallium when I played with Chromebooks but it would not behave (keyboard issues).

I dont have 4 giga ram min, the video and some software will be so slow, no thanks, that why Xbuntu or lubuntu also free can support my pc. I prefer to have windows beside coz some game cannot be in linux.
