My favorite obscure character pull in Immortal Hulk is Xemnu, a hypnotic alien who views humans as raw material to rebuild his dead planet. Immortal Hulk repackages him as pure brain poison, cynically hijacking half-remembered nostalgia to install himself as an unquestionable object of worship

Razorback read. Xemnu wants to alter U.S.'s baby in the womb. Razorback destroys his machine so Xemnu takes Jen to bioengineer into his wife. A convoy saves her and Xemnu is given to a giant alien to be a teddy bear. Razorback is made a space trucker for NASA and the ship gets renamed the Big Pig 3.

my first reaction to this was incredulity that Xemnu the Titan wasn’t an obscure character … and then I had to step back and realize, maybe my frame of reference is warped. I don’t think Xemnu is obscure, but I don’t think anyone is obscure. it’s all publicly available information. pure skill issue.

Daily horror read. Real Hulk rips his way out of Banner. Goes after Xemnu, who has made all the employees robots because hungry. This angers Minotaur but he's half digested by the time Hulk shows up and stops Xemnu with Planet Hulk. Twist that Rick is actually the Leader.

the way Xemnu goes out is genuinely fucking awesome, like Xemnu thinks Rick's Gambit failed, only for the Green Scar Alter to emerge and kill Xemnu in one blow.
