Two ways to make passive verbs in Ruus Al Jibal:

1. Stem VII (yɨnCɨCɨC)
yōkɨl 'he eats' ➡️ yɨnwɨkɨl 'it gets eaten' √w-k-l

2. "Internal passive"
yōkɨl 'he eats' ➡️ yūkal 'it is eaten'

1. yūkal corresponds really nicely to Classical Arabic yuʔkalu, with a u-a melody rather than an i-a melody! 🌴

2. Perfect passive forms don't seem to occur. 🤔

3. In contexts where passive verbs might be expected, passive participles get used as well. But they seem less verb-y. 🤷‍♂️
