I follow Paul Reed at the @oldfrontline.bsky.social. I recently watched one of Paul’s videos about the battles around Ypres. He mentioned “The Immortal Salient” published in 1924. I procured a copy and it’s magnificent. Thanks Paul!

A final good morning #LaBoisselle for this tour! A beautiful morning for a nice 5 1/2 mile stroll to #Contalmaison and back before breakfast. Now to head to the #YpresSalient to visit a few key sites before heading home. #LetsRoll

Good morning #Arras! A top 4.7 mile stroll down the #Scarpe & part of town to get the day going! Today we look fwd to a stop at #Waterloo (another guest connection) then to the #YpresSalient to continue our #Australians #WW1 pilgrimage, plus a big surprise for them later!

After a self imposed break, its time to get back out, & what better way than with a small group from #NorthernIreland! 6 days across the #YpresSalient & #Somme #battlefields, some personal stops, small stops, & some old haunts! First stop #TalbotHouse for a cuppa! #LetsRoll

A good morning in the office! Finally have the whole collection of #YpresSalient books by Paul Chapman on the kindle! I cannot recommend these books enough for anyone visiting the Salient.
The detail of research on each grave is astounding, Paul really is the go to guy for anything Salient related
