All data and code are open: github.com/fismanda/respiratory-virus-mortality-ontario (Zenodo archived). This specific study was unfunded but our group is supported by funds from CIHR for which we are very grateful.

So we're working on it: we're contacting the data owners, exploring how to make these datasets accessible with their permission, and hosting them via our Zenodo repository where possible. The goal: that referendums can be studied better in the future. 🤝 zenodo.org/communities/...

A journal I've submitted to, which I don't think is used to big datasets, is asking me to upload 7GB worth of supplements to the manuscript submission system, which I don't think will work. Trying to convince them (or their robot) that a link to Zenodo is essentially the same thing

Some other updates:

- Had some troubles with our domain name, but this has now been fixed!
- We’re migrating our 196 (!!) episode archive to Zenodo from OSF, should be ready in about a week

I mean just to be clear, I support closed data where needed — I do think it might be useful to ask zenodo themselves what they think

the solution should be systemic, i.e., it should be done by the Zenodo team — something like implementing a captcha or requiring a login to access the data.

users could zip the data and protect them with a password, perhaps, then sharing the password upon request, but this is inefficient.

The Irrationality of ζ(5)
by Alex Hyman

We formalise the proof that  is irrational from A. Fauzans 2026 preprint (Zenodo, doi:10.5281/zenodo.22826419), following the Lean 4/Mathlib formalisation of the same argument by domino14 (github.com/domino14/zeta5), of which this entry is a port.
