Photo. A toy baseball bat has been painted to look like it is made of a silvery metal. A wide band has been added near the hitting end and made to look as if it is riveted on. Six long spikes have been added around this, sticking straight out. A single long spike juts from the hitting end of the bat. The handle is wrapped in black cloth with a slight sheen to it.

And, for some reason, the post deleted the hashtags... Have edited it on PixelFed but no idea if that will carry over to Bsky. Here they are: #prop #cosplay #znation #horror #comedy #ZWhacker #ZedWhacker #horrorcon #Scotland #puppiesandkittens #DeltaXrayDelta #DXD #OperationBiteMark

The "Zed-Whacker" is coming on. Starting to look the part. I like to use brushes to paint, rather than sprays. The effect is different but I feel I have more control over the outcome with a brush.

Continuing work on the #ZWhacker.
Not going to be screen-accurate but I kind of like how it's looking. Has the right feel. In-universe explanation might be a case of convergence. Someone else had a similar idea. A #ZedWhacker perhaps.

Photo. The toy baseball-bat has had a band of craft-foam added near the hitting end. Spikes made from toy rifle-shells with a bit of added craft-foam to lengthen them have been attached to this band. Six spikes stick out around the bat and one straight out the top. Photo. The toy baseball-bat foam band and spikes are shown assembled. Clear tape has been used to support the spikes while the glue dries. Photo. Detail of the spikes before attachment. The brass-coloured plastic of the rifle-shell section contrasting with a tube of black craft-foam at the base of each. Photo. Painting of the prop begun. Shows the tip of the handle end. The pale plastic colour is visible but there is black paint covering the very end.

Zed-Whacker by Fluffgar 2026 I'm quite happy with the finished item. May make some changes, depending on the context it's to be used in. But the main thing is as finished as any creative project eve...
