In June, I gave zerodrop sneakers are try. I really like em, but the tops are mesh so that doesn't mix with rainy winter times in PDX. So I got some zerodrop boots that I've been breaking in the past week.
My immediate thought was Vimes would dig these boots bc I can feel the ground under my feet

When I visited my daughter in Portland last month I found a store that sells zerodrop and they had a number of Lems in stock. I tried them all on (I have a very wide foot) because I don't dare buy shoes without trying on first. So yeah. I really love mine, the Boulder Boot Grip.

I'm going to be interested to see how the Lems hold up. They were expensive, but fit my wide feet instantly, and I was immediately able to walk distances in them without any chafing. Plus I prefer zerodrop. But . . . I never know how fast the heels of the soles will wear out
