This is somewhere in my neighborhood…or it was. This is from last summer. It makes me wish I had more garden. 🌱

A Hummingbird clearwing moth visited the front yard native plant garden today! I've never seen one of these before. It was so freaking cool. This is exactly why we did the garden.

Before it got cold in mid Nov we harvested and processed a bunch of carrots. Mostly Purple Dragon but there are some purple helix mixed in there. Let them grow way too long so some were bitter but they cook up fine.

Time for the fall flowers! The New England Aster flowers have attached lots of bumblebees, honey bees, and a mighty monarch! butterfly. I counted about 100 bees. They were all very happy. Also I didn't eat the monarch butterfly.

Last year our Purple Coneflowers (Echinacea purpurea) only had one flower per plant & were barely 2' tall. They don't look it but this year they are 4-5' tall & check out how many flowers we are going to get from just one plant! #gardening #pollinators #forthebees #nativeplants #nativegarden #zone6

Some flowers and a jumping spider bro. I only ever find small jumping bros around our house. I love watching them do their thing. I don't spray for bugs. Where are my big jumping spiders at?

What a 1.5 month difference looks like. 5/1 to 6/18. It doesn't look like it but most of the plants are 4-5' tall. I can't even use the pavers to get into the garden to weed. Everything went crazy from the rain and 80F weather.

Northeast #gardeners, what are your favorite #roses? I love my rosa rugosa (pictured), which was also a childhood favorite, and am looking to branch out (heh heh). What are the varieties that make you happy? Especially looking for strong aromas.

There are some #Plants I overwinter in the house. I have 4 geraniums and only 1 bloomed throughout the winter. FYI, it super easy to #Propagate geraniums. The blue pot has been a mother plant for three years.

I live in east Atlanta (zone6) and the kind lady working at our polling station told me she’s been volunteering for 20+ years and has never seen this many young people show up.

Adore a lovely yellow daffodil! They are the first flowers to appear next to my front door... can't wait for May! #Zone6
We have other variations in our yard but nothing really beats the classic yellow, does it? 🌱

There are supposedly hardy bananas but I think it's zone6. Questions? Give me a holler; I've been gardening since 1963.

V rare treat to have friends come to Zone6 with us. Perhaps their unkeenness on trip we make so frequently should've told us to move sooner!

I planted this ornamental kale from a cutting in bouquet in the fall. It's really hanging in there. Also took Professor outside for a minute at his insistence. It's 12 degrees out, so he sensibly requested to go back inside. #gardening #zone6

So eine abgefahrene Location. Bin da recht gern, finde die aber unpassend für sehr laute Konzerte, weil die Soundqualität in dem kleinen Raum art leidet. Uada war (soundmäßig) schlimm, Zone6 dagegen sehr gut.
