Boysenberries are ripening in my garden too. My grandbaby got me 2 plants 2 yrs ago n those adapted to our dry sandy soil better than the thornless blackberries. I prefer thornless varieties so it's easier for kids to pick them.

Pansies but I prefer perenials. Hanging baskets dry out too fast in Texas
#gardening

What’s your favorite annual?

Do you do hanging baskets?

Thinking of trying my own hanging baskets this year.

Any tips? 🌱

Moving soil in a large space all on my own mostly perenials or buisness annuals and things that reseed. Its raining right now and so tomorrow more planting.

Screwed around in the garden and discovered that it takes 5 bags of mulch for this corner patch. ( I still have to buy one more bag) #gardening #garden #perenials #flowers #idontknowwhatimdoing

Also, a neighbor complimented what we’ve done with the yard. It honestly doesn’t look like much yet, the trees and roses are still tiny, most of the perenials won’t bloom until next summer. The clover lawn is a work in progress and the huge birch has leaf miners. It just looked so awful before.

Perrennials report. Perenials. Perennials. Forever-plants.

Lost most fruit to a late freeze, then a bad rust year, and also birds evading our netting. Sigh.

But the hazelnuts are fruiting a little, and we've had some berries for light snacking. 🌱

This part of the garden usually
Collects wild lettuce, so I figured it was time for some new perenials

I have discovered that not only is there a lovely David Austin rose called "Vanessa Bell" who I'm also named after,
But today learned there is a clematis with my last name

& they would look beautiful together and they're both hardy to my zone

Morning walk through the garden. Dogs are coming along, pulled some tomatoes, onions are falling and almost ready. Pulled me garlic and stuck some perenials in the bed to mature. 🌱

Cosmos , zinnias and allyssum are the annuals I consistently plant. more often than not direct sown. Between the three I have low growing and sweet smelling, feathery tall dancers, and happy bright faces. They seem to get along well with the perenials in the bed.

The images show the species of seed planted in individual trays. If you can only find mixed seed then you'd be better off looking for 'short-flowering meadow' mixes which would have a different sowing technique (3 or so years to get the perenials nice and established)

If it gave you a chuckle SL, job done. 🥰 Love the photo of your Peace Lillies. Sadly my perenials have been hammered by frost but my hope is strong for them to bounce back. Meanwhile the bulbs are pushing through & they are as hardy. Wishing you a splendid day tomorrow Love that we hooked up.

If you're on the lookout for a new music festival this year, Novacaine at Corporation in Sheffield may be just the ticket! We explore the festival lineup, headlined by the excellent @AEUOfficial. #NewMusic #Metal

Read here:
New Metal Festival: As Everything Unfolds headlining Novacaine 2026 in Sheffield
As perenials supporters of new British metal, we're always on the lookout for exciting gigs and festivals - even if recent work commitments have basically prevented me from personally attending live gigs. However, when one popped up in Sheffield, where I moved in March, with a stellar lineup, I wanted to get involved.

In the spirit of complete makeovers/ before & after
Before and after with a couple shots of the demo process. Some may call it sterile but it’s just a work in progress. We had a full landscape plan and it was quoted out at >20k for plants and installation (so we ended up DIYing it). I planted approximately 90 perenials in April/May alone which does not include the junipers. Hopefully in 3-4 years as things mature it will look great but it’s so much safer and more pleasant to be in now. by TinyGreenBird

It is becoming increasingly difficult for the agricultural thing in a world of drought a flooding. First perenials than anuals becoming more and more challenging to grow.

Rich countries can afford much higher prices a/o doing some occupation, pressure actions, but even this instruments have limits.

My garden, here is eastern MA, which usually lasts long into September, is fried to a crisp. Watering every 2 days but doesn't make up for 98 degree heat which saps the life out of plants & people alike. 1 day of rain since June. Perenials & shrubs dying out. Wondering why I bother anymore.

Hello. Last year I finished adding perenials to our back yard garden. My problem at the moment is how the only real color at the moment is green. Not much is blooming yet. I kind of wanted opinions from others and maybe ask for advice for what you plant to have color during this time of year. Let me know your thoughts please!by Mr_Thundermaker

On a rainy morning in all of this we all helped plant a bunch of new perenials in pots in the greenhouse.

With so many people spread out over the table spaces I made a decent, improvised work station on one of the hardscape material stock piles and got a good number of pots planted on it!
