I don't want the video streaming to be a blocker for the course videos so I can at least switch from the default Vimeo player to AblePlayer to start, and then later stream the videos from elsewhere to complete the move.

I'm just as surprised as you are. I've literally only uploaded two videos and have been trying to make them work with my local AblePlayer setup. I was going to contact support today because my mp4 URL is giving me a 404. But I was presented with this screen instead. I have no idea why they did this.
