Today I celebrate the 🕯️life and ministry of my ordination patron, #AbsalomJones. The first black Episcopal priest and founder of my home church from whence I was priested, the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas, founded in 1792 as the first Episcopal parish by and for black folk.
