Nice, I am fortunate to have 3 Vox amps. One for acoustic and an AC4 and an AC30 for electric. All are fantastic!

It was the Decey amp, at least in the studio. Live it was AC30 (no idea how loud) with a Rangemaster and Echoplex (gain stage!!) in the signal chain. Low output single coil pickups out of phase and/or in parallel probably added to the sound. Plus he’s got the greatest touch.

That’s awesome. A few years back I got to play an original 1964 Vox AC30 at a guitar center my friend worked at. They’d just gotten it on trade and I was there shopping for a guitar. Couldn’t afford the amp. But he did let me play it in their soundproof room cranked for about a half hour.

I tried this plugin AC30 with some of my actual (physical) pedals yesterday, including fuzzes, and it took them really well.
Super impressed with this amp, even if the rest of the plugin is underwhelming.

I tried the Yvette Young Mixwave plugin.
The Vox amp is quite good, IMO. It’s a model of a master volume AC30, so some purists might not like that, but it makes the amp more versatile. It’s also the AC30 that I have real world experience with.
