Achewillow is one of my favorite podcasts. Great to see there's going to be a book.
Achewillow is pretty great. I was recommended it recently, and I just finished the third of eight series. Short episodes, clear narration, interesting plots. Good stuff.

Secondary characters often help develop your protagonist. But that shouldn't be all they do. If you want a secondary character to come to life, they need independence, a partner, friends, interests outside of your protagonist, even if it's just hinted at.
