#adventwords
So as a prompt, what would we get lining up this year’s AdventWords for Sundays with the Four Last Things?

I • Dawn / Death
II • Dwell / Judgment
III • Anointed / Heaven
IV • Cedar / Hell

⚓️
AdventWord 2026 is out, which means I’m already thinking about devotional writing prompts connected to certain days of the season. ⚓️

Some ideas:
SUNDAYS: Dawn, Dwell, Anointed, Cedar

FRIDAYS: Testimony, Melt, Sanctify

SS ANDREW & THOMAS: Armor, Tabernacle

EMBER DAYS: Seed, Sanctify, Ruined

Today’s word is shepherd — from Old English sceaphierde, Greek poimēn, and Latin pastor. A small word with a long story.

I never know whether I am more cynical or snarky (probably a via media). Today is the first time I've ever heard of "AdventWords". If it draws any people nearer to God, I'm all for it.
Just give me a Bible, a Prayer Book, and maybe the Hymnal, an I'll pray the Daily Office.
