I think that (12)was the perfect age for a first read,and calling it a YA classic as the Guardian article does is appropriate. Now, several reads later and more than several years older, I am reading it differently. Differently, but not better.

While it does make me sad, I do recognize the comedy of feeling out of place in this very pro-para space for not being an age regressor and being most attracted to the 10-14 range.
