_Wednesday, August 26, 2026_ Good morning, Twfw. O/ Sunrise. Peace. For the past few weeks or so each morning entry focused on the effects AI has on our culture. Specifically, what happens when we allow algorithms to manage language distribution. The current state of American Life is a result of placing the care of our words in the artificial hands of machines. There's plenty of words about it already on the site. Poets are caretakers for the written word. The tools of my trade are under the fires of neglect. I had to speak up. If you're curious as to why society looks and sounds the way it does today perhaps you'll read some. Back to the usual stations of my job: Beauty, Truth, Gothic Moments we seldom speak of because we don't have language for them. Yet. Back to what words are actually for: The expression of personal experience so we might share ourselves in a tangible way, so we can build a world together on our best worded translations of our dreams. Language is a living thing. It breathes and grows with us. How it evolves is from the bravery of creative witnesses to speak up, to write something new. The definitions and understandings of our words have to grow in order for us to. That's the true and most hazardous threat a faith in machines poses to us right now. Getting too comfortable allowing algorithms and software to choose our words for us is a nail in the coffin of human evolution. People create; machines follow orders. Language exists for us to create with. We create new weaves of words to share that make new realities possible. Language must always be new to serve us best. Original Intelligence must always feed the Artificial for us to grow as a race. At present, wonder and awe over the new technology has us linguistically stuck in the past. Our words aren't growing. Creative voices need a safe space to be seen. Not for entertainment's sake, for the sake of Language itself. Really. It's that serious. A healthy language is a healthy society. Like a plant whose roots have no more room to grow in its pot, and so the plant never blossoms... is where language is headed if we forsake too much of its care to machines. America, for instance, starts to become a class system because of the way our media is being distributed. It's not what people want. How are we ever to heal if we can't talk to each other for algorithmic reasons? An article classified by software as something a Black woman in an inner-city would love to read has little to no chance getting to a White man who lives in the country on a farm. Regardless if the information in the article would help change the farmer's life for the better. That example is the cause and disease that threatens America at present. People aren't classes; we're people. That's the whole basis for the founding of our Country and what's at stake right now. I'll keep writing and sharing about it until we do something about it. Together we must raise awareness that this is our reality at present. That... sure the technology is cool and helpful, but the ways it's being used is destroying freedom. I light a candle with the sunrise every morning and share these words in The Internet's Dark. There's near a thousand candles I've shared over consecutive days with no response because my ideas are new and I don't cater to the machines controlling our information. And, therefore, our freedom.
