But there's an important message here, beyond just being kind to others, and it's that different communication methods are effective for different people. E.g., that's why I always share multiple data viz styles to share the exact same story. Another for sea level rise (zacklabe.com/climate-chan...)

You cannot determine altitude using GPS. That is why airports always provide approaching aircraft with the local air pressure so that they can calibrate their barometric altimeters.

Something more severe than an engine out and less severe than a breakup or loss of control occurred given the descent rate. Cause still unknown. The noise in the ground speed trace is most likely due to GPS jamming/spoofing (which wouldn't effect barometric altimeters)

Airlines kept arguing that the 5G rollout had to be delayed and delayed... But Buttigieg stood firm that they needed to retrofit their altimeters by July 1, 2023. The airlines ultimately got it done, and the 5G rollout proceeded smoothly with very little disruption:

All you need are two altimeters and an autopilot with altitude hold and altitude alerting. Nothing in the regs about TCAS.

So from the looks of it, the altimeters in the BlackHawk should have been replaced 43 years ago and now the FAA is mad that the NTSB has the temerity to suggest that dear leader Trump’s FAA might be less than perfect. Excellent.
