Having just attended the #AltoTrain public consultation this evening in Toronto, I’m feeling more positive about the project. The technical representatives at the consultation seemed very knowledgeable and big on affordable construction, downtown connections, and coordinating with other railways.

Congrats to Finland, Sweden & all of Europe. Canada is just starting its 1st high speed rail from Toronto to Quebec City. 😭

Feds/Alto should look at this differently. AltoTrain is the service, including track and should be owned on their books. But the right of way is a 100+ year asset for the country and should have that capital cost on Feds books.
