Frankly I've been disappointed with the caliber of critical writing done on AC8 elsewhere so I am immensely happy to see my guy @iro.obsidianmoonshine.com do the good and necessary work. Maybe one of my favorite pieces of games writing in a minute.

I've been publishing books for young readers for 23 years. In the past three years, there's been a huge change. The discourse is fraught. Now I am regularly accused of being a "groomer" a "pornographer" and a "pedophile." For writing kids books. It's horrible. And nonsensical. And not okay.

Like even the folks who i met or got to know thru posting/ writing/ blogging era are much less interested and involved in discourse. Of course I am also just getting older so it might be that! Who can say? literally just one girl and am basing this largely on vibe, personal anecdote, and gut check!
