A bit on the dry side, this still-pretty Amanita augusta looked nice in a sea of bright green moss

A large mushroom grows out of ground that's completely covered by very bright green moss. The mushroom has a very thick light brown stipe, which appears a bit aged, with parts of its skin curling up. A yellow skirt hangs against the stipe right below the large cap. The light brown cap is covered in patches of very bumpy/spiky light brown warts.

A very tall mushroom with a long white, roughly textured stipe, which appears almost toasted due to soft brown-yellow color that is seen on the left side, a light brown-yellow ring of thin mushroom flesh, and a darker yellow color between the ring and the cap, which is a woody-brown color that's broken up by flaky yellowish-white spots.

A large mushroom stands surrounded by bright green moss. This youngish mushroom, Amanita augusta, has a thick yellow stipe which is about three inches tall. Eventually, it will likely grow taller by a few inches. Its very large and domelike cap is a lightish brown color. On the edge of the cap in the front and on the right side, a bumpy yellow substance covers the mushroom, almost like the top of coffee cake. This bumpy substance is left behind by the veil that covers it when it's just starting to grow. 📷 Canon R5 Canon RF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM M, f/4, 1/8, ISO 400 Stack of 24 images 11/17/24 Northern Oregon Coast

A very large brown-capped mushroom grows on sloped, mossy ground. This Amanita augusta has a tall and thick stipe, standing roughly eight to ten inches tall. A few inches below where the cap and stipe meet, a curled ring of yellow mushroom flesh appears. Its cap is dome-like, light brown around the edges and darker brown at the top, and is covered in gray and yellow bumps. 📷 Canon R5 Canon RF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM M, f/4, 1/4, ISO 400 Stack of 12 images 11/17/24 Northern Oregon Coast
