In some preliminary #WOTY2026 research, I'm trying to figure out if LOAD-BEARING is having a specific moment this year (it's 8+ years old), if it comes from a specific tweet/joke, or if it's just reaching critical mass usage. #AmResearching Feels like "it's not X but it's X-ADJACENT" usage somehow.

I've tried Qwant and Searx. What's a search engine that can return results containing an exact phrase? (Qwant's instructions say to use quote marks but it doesn't appear to be working.)

What is the origin of ZILL as this teen mental health thing? Is this like a blended prescription name? Just saw a commercial during hockey broadcast. From zill.org: "ZILL (verb): Any action to show love to your mind on good, bad or whatever days." What? #AmResearching @fritinancy.bsky.social

This "borrow unavailable" message on Internet Archive books is hitting me viscerally.

It was one thing to not be able to see inside books *before* I could on the archive, and another to have once been able to do it and no longer.

I'll just say: writing about a woman author - no matter how inspiring she was & how much she needs to be remembered - can be soul-crushing, when the two great loves of her life *cheated on her* & gaslit her... & she kept the receipts.💔💔

This kind of #AmResearching 🗃️ is not for the faint-hearted.
I am now up to a folder entitled “very personal correspondence.” 😬

Yes I’m doing intellectual biography, but with women the personal is often political. And who knows what I will find in here! 🗃️ #PrivateArchivesTakeHomeProject
My #AmOrganizing 🗃️ plan is to take pics & *organize* them same day, before taking more 📷. It's helping me:

1. not keep taking pics I don't need cuz I already have similar docs &

2. not forget what's in each photo. I'm signaling in my chapter draft where I might discuss or cite each.

Started playing PROSE AND CODES on Steam - a cipher puzzle game - and learned the word DIAPASON (Latin from Greek from the early 1400s). It's a harmonious sound, originally related to the octave interval in the diatonic scale. #AmResearching

I now own an ELBOW CHO-PAT, which helps keep bones where they should be. The original CHO-PAT was for knees, so I think PAT is short for PATELLAR, but I can't find a medical website that cares to explain the CHO- part to me. Choke-Patella? Chonstrict? Chozy? AChL? Chortilage? #AmResearching

But for you lovely people who've supported me through #AmResearching & archive posts - I'm sharing a 🎁 sneak preview! I think starting the book with Kazan is the way to go (this is very rough prose, but a start!)
