Remember that time when Anchorage had a mayor who's solution for homelessness was a fucking tent.

After, of course, he bussed a bunch of vulnerable people to the woods with zero resources.

A real humanitarian, that Bronson.

Election Day in Anchorage is Tuesday, April 1st.

I know many residents have likely returned their ballots by now so it's probably a bit late to post my preliminary results on the use of transphobic rhetoric by candidates this round.

But here it is.

Image of a data table showing the Anchorage Assembly and School Board candidates running in the spring 2025 election cycle, their incumbent status, district information, use of transphobic rhetoric, and a cut off column that appears to have notes. Candidates that do not use transphobic rhetoric are: Daniel Volland, Kameron Perez-Verdia, Erin Baldwin-Day, Angela Frank, Yarrow Silvers, Margo Bellamy, and Kelly Lessens. Candidates that do use transphobic Nicholas Danger, Jared Goecker, Alexander Rosales, and Mark Anthony Cox. Candidates where no determination could be made regarding the use of transphobic rhetoric: Daniel George, Kyle Walker, David Littleton, Jonathan Duckworth, Amie Steen, John Stiegele, Darin Colbry, and Keith McCormick. Candidate Don Smith is listed as 'Maybe'.

I’ve been calling Dan Sullivan’s office line for 5 years now, averaging on 2 calls a week. Sometimes way more than some weeks never.

Neither his office nor Dan has ever answered the phone prior to last week.

Because he’s going to lose. #akpol #ancpol #ohiopol

Multiple fires broke out during the camp abatement at Davis Park today. It appeared that people had largely cleared the area & I didn't see any serious injuries. Hoping everyone is safe.

A fire burning just beyond a treeline. There's a fire truck staged in the left side of the frame and several large, spray painted signs reading, "We are all the same people," "We feel as though we have to fight for ours wouldn't you do the same," and "Coming to a neighborhood near you." Three fires burning just beyond the treeline. A person with dark clothing takes a picture in the left side of the frame, a person wearing hi-vis gear is moving a collapsed tent, a police vehicle & trash collection truck are in the right side of the frame.
