Château Picard study from Season 1 of STAR TREK: PICARD (2020)
Château Picard study used throughout Season 1. Unlike other locations at Picard's home, his study was a set built by the production at Santa Clarita Studios. The set was reused several times throughout the season as a holographic version of the Château andlater Data's virtual afterlife in "Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 2". For the virtual version of the study, set decorator Lisa Alkofer oversaw a radical repainting of the set: "What we did was paint every single piece grey, a real pale pale pale grey. So I reupholstered the furniture, I built a new globe, built a new desk so that we wouldn't trash everything. And all the furniture just had slip covers. We got all new books and painted them all grey, built new curtains, everything. First when they said 'We want you to do all this and we're never going back there', and I was like 'are you sure?' because I mean the minute I start ripping everything apart there's no going back. Especially with a lot of these pieces as they were one of a kind. So thankfully they decided they were not going to do that, we were just going to reupholstered everything so it can go back."

Cream text on a burgundy background reads: "Captain," was the first, breathless word to spill from Petra's bloodied lips as he carried her away over the pommel of his saddle. "My legs are broken — you've got to put me down." "Not safe," was all he could manage in reply as he kicked his horse on. "Soon." But when he went to see her in the infirmary – one ankle still throbbing, despite the splint and poltice the physicians had skilfully applied to alleviate the worst of the pain – she looked as if nothing had happened. All her cuts and bruises, just… gone. "Are you all right, sir? You look like you've seen a ghost," she asked him — as if she couldn't remember the events of the expedition at all. I might've done, he wanted to say. Quickly followed by the embarrassment of having to face her father again, after he'd collared him in the town to fill him in on the contents of her most recent letter. All about her wish to "devote herself fully" to him. And his warning that she was too young to marry.

Thank you for mentioning the victims’ lack of justice. We all have an interest in justice being served, but the victims have a different investment. It’s upsetting to know they are constantly revictimized every time Epstein’s network is made into a joke.
