ftr, calling Brachyura true crabs is arbitrary. We could call Anomura that, but it wouldn't make sense because the majority of them are squat lobster and hermit forms. If we called king crabs as true crabs and vice versa it would be valid

Repurposing this skeet for the base figure, you'll see that they did indeed. And that squat lobsters are also multiple lineages (here they appear as though they could be ancestral for half of Anomura)
Not only is this Sphaerodromia brizops adorable, it is a totally separate carcinization event from "regular" crabs 🦀
Btw this one is not a newly described species, but they probably featured it for cuteness reasons

カニ化したヤドカリと言えばヤシガニは不完全だし、タラバガニ類はカニ化しすぎてヤドカリ感皆無だけど、Patagurus rexは文字通り「カニ化したヤドカリ」の見た目だな。
殻を背負う習性も保っているが、申し訳程度の腹部を保護するためだけなのでパンツ一丁みたいで可愛い。
