But just look out your window, if they haven’t been blown out by high winds, to know that a non-descript “change” is not what we are experiencing. What humans are doing to the planet is Climate Disruption. And what humans are experiencing right now is a rolling, widening Climate Catastrophe. Terms like Global Warming and Greenhouse Effect were rightly left in the dustbin in the last couple decades after years of disinformation polluted what limited value they had. We shifted towards the more scientifically accurate Climate Change in the new millenium, but even that was not truly evocative of what humans are doing to the planet. Flat-earther types and those with a monetary motivation are quick to point out that the globe has warmed and cooled and the climate has changed many times throughout the planet’s history, giving them the excuse they need to laugh, mock, deride, and to stick their heads back in the sand. Climate Disruption? This is something different. It evokes what happens when a supervolcano blows and suddenly disrupts...

In posts that should be anondyne, Zootopia 2 was quite well done and I really appreciated how goofy they were willing to let Patrick Warburton's action hero horse mayor be. But they missed such an easy opportunity for a joke to the point that I thought I caught the set up and it wasn't there.

It just feels like salami tactics in this area. I am relatively anondyne about the "no advertising in the bowl" thing, but I know that the AD was already testing the waters with the survey from last year about what would be accepted.

Even the most anondyne description of what these folks are doing sounds to crazy to believe.
The mass deportation question can be asked in a different way and get a wholly different answer. Most people would not be comfortable with the details of what this means but snuggling it in with more anondyne questions completely elides the reality.

like even in my own pretty anondyne career, I've been employed by e.g. Disney, who is in many ways a horrible company run by union-busting bean counters. Is it unethical to work for them (as a unionized associate director on an ABC soap opera?) Who knows!
