that's not an answer, it's an excuse

This, this, this. The right answer is ALL OF THE ABOVE. No false choices, no half measures. Dems have to do it all.
Sen. Warnock was just asked on CNN if Dems will focus on costs *or* corruption, and he responded "We can walk & chew gum at the same time." Hell yes, that is the message.

We’ve lost so many. But this was my favorite answer and tribute

Wrong answer asshole
"The American people don't want us to get even; they want us to get things done on their behalf."

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who is now poised to become the next House Speaker, says that Democrats will focus on affordability concerns and not retribution after their midterm wins.

This is (very unintentionally) hilarious. It's not just a "weak" answer as the Holler says – she's stumbling and fumbling and babbling word salad in a futile attempt to respond to a simple question that has no defensible answer.
"You talk a lot about a state DOGE program, what have your fellow Republican colleagues missed? They've been in control for 16 years."

@MarshaBlackburn's predictably weak answer to the obvious question about her new talking point, which sure seems like a jab at @GovBillLee + the GOP supermajority.

Well maybe they should stop listing that as a possible answer

a whole lotta people got killed to answer the question of slavery in the US, and later a whole lot more people got killed to answer the question of global fascism. but the slaveholders and the fascists managed to claw their way back. this election isnt a major victory. its a very narrow opportunity

Their answer to any problem seems to be ethnic cleansing.

Exactly right. War Powers votes are largely symbolic and ineffective. The power of the purse is the answer. bsky.app/profile/atru...
Q: How are Democrats going to end the war?

SCHUMER: The Founding Fathers had the power of the purse as one of the ways of deterring a president who does war without the consent of the American people

Wrong answer.

The question is wrong, the answer is wrong. Corruption was at the top of the list of voters’ concerns along withvwffordsbility. It’s not about retribution. It’s about justice.
