Anthropic and OpenAI are dangerous and unsustainable companies that shouldn’t be taken public. The AI bubble is a con and retail investors are the marks.
AI doesn’t have ROI, it’s nothing like AWS or Uber, and it’s got no post-bubble recovery story.

I think part of it is flop sweat too. They thought they had a good plan, but between cheap models and Anthopic, they have doubts. IMO.

Big tech can no longer pirate copyrighted data, so they're buying & destroying millions of books, many of which rare books, to train AI. They cut the spines, scan, then destroy the originals. A Clinton-appointed judge ruled it fair-use. Disgusting!

yeah, we'll see what the next generation of Anthopic models looks like. The point I was making though is I'm barely using Opus, and using Fable only to advise, so it's insignificant as fraction of cost.
