Here's a perfect example of how Zionism is anti-Semitic.

Conservatives just can't be clever no matter how hard they try.

How? Not all Jews support Zionism, and conflating it is anti-Semitic in it self.

Just like the shrub avoided debate on his dumbass moves in Iraq/Iran:
"Support the Troops!"
Netanyahu is a fascist thug, and Israel is a lost nation. Call me anti-semitic? Couldn't care less.

You never explained how any of these quotes do not "distinguish the difference between anti-Zionist from anti-Semitic." It would be difficult to explain away because that's exactly what they are doing.

But sure, I'm the one dishonestly engaging with this topic. bsky.app/profile/sark...
It painstakingly makes that differentiation in several places

So,I saw it as healthy capitalism competition, where in order to make sense,u need to improve ur treatment of minorities, less close minded, more individualistic,in contrast to neoAtlantic indoEuro-jingoists’ anti-Semitic genocidal culture or Confucius absolute order, though both lived through this era!

It has become unlikeable. It has become the new home for Corbyn supporters & the anti-Semitic views have followed. I feel sorry for English & Welsh voters that another party has turned sour.

Eastern European bloodlines killing native Semetic peoples
Sounds very Anti semitic
I speak Spanish that doesn’t mean I am Spanish

So I don’t see this as commie version of “anti-Tsar” “anti-Manchu” rhetoric, or neoAtlantic jingoists version of who has what % of what DNA admixture n their subtle anti-Semitic undertones! Of course, we cannot compare past with presents, even these two had their own problems…

The idea that Zionism was intrinsically racist (and also anti-Semitic) was proposed first by…lemme check my notes…

The Jewish Labour Bund.

I don't think you have made that clear. You made the claim that it was "intentionally failing to distinguish the difference between anti-Zionist from anti-Semitic." when it did in fact make this specific distinction in several places. If you value the difference why ignore this?
I did do that. I don't see how this amounts to "failure to clearly draw a distinction" bsky.app/profile/sark...

This is about as useful as insisting that people who hate queers aren't 'homophobic', since 'phobia' means fear, and they don't fear us.

Words change meaning. Anti-semitism, as used in English, means discrimination against Jews, not discrimination against all Semitic peoples.
October 5, 2026 at 5:54 PM
Zionism isn’t anything like Communism. You are comparing apples (the desire for self-determination of a people with many experiences of discrimination under foreign rulings) with oranges (an – in parts – anti-Semitic ideology of how to shape the entire world for anybody).

Interesting to see prominent people who purport to be on the left (Bderger, Monbiot, et al) standing up for Apartheid (which is inherently racist) and Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing which is founded in racism.

Calling out Zionism is not anti-semitic, it is not racist. It is calling it what it is.

BBC appoints Rachel Jupp as new director of news

I don't know what Jupp's politics are, but she was editor of the infamous "Is Labour Anti-Semitic?" Panorama episode...

.....pro-Israel groups' attempts to politicize and police the term Zionism as a way to paint opposition to the state of Israel as anti-Semitic.

nadiazaboura.bsky.social: Let's put scientific expertise directly on this fighting term, or rather its evil twin, the so-called "imported anti-Semitism":

"People who agree with the import thesis are disproportionately likely to hold anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim views themselves (...)."

"I'm not anti-semitic, just racist against the one race"

Opposing ethnonationalism and a genocide undertaken by a state rooted in imperialism and supremacy is neither racist or anti-Semitic - quite the opposite, actually.

Very disappointing take, here.

“Zionism is racism” is not a policy but a slogan. It compresses a complex history, going back millennia, and a very wide set of beliefs into one narrow meaning. The answer to genocide is not discrimination. We don't fight racism with racism. I’m gutted to see this motion adopted by the Green Party.

The entire thing manages to be antisemetic in a number of ways, including by intentionally failing to distinguish the difference between anti-Zionist from anti-Semitic.

This amendment would’ve at least partially drawn that distinction, refusing it chooses to intentionally conflate AZ with AS.
October 5, 2026 at 4:49 PM
No. But sometimes anti-semitic people use Zionism as a segue to attack all Jews- as seems to be happening here, with what more and more looks to be an astroturfed campaign that rejected any and all amendments to clarify that anti-semitism wasn't the goal.

The success of the Green Party has seen it labelled anti-trans and now anti-semitic.

It's pretty much a set in stone playbook at this point and no amount of Trans counsellors elected or good faith argument will be sufficient to change minds.
October 5, 2026 at 4:16 PM
We are far enough into this debate (nearly 80 years by some metrics!) to be quite comfortable saying that anti zionism isn't anti semitic. And again - it would be a lot easier for green members to explain themselves if any of the media outlets covering this motion had bothered asking the yes voters
October 5, 2026 at 4:07 PM
Why are ppl who speak out against Netanyahu and the genocide in Gaza called anti-Semitic, when what's happening to Palestinians today is the same thing that happened to the Jews in the 1930's and 40's? The annihilation of a race. Has humanity changed that much?
