Here's a shot of something I've never captured before. Anticrepuscular rays from a full moon. The light slipped between two huge lenticular clouds, created a stunning and most unusual sight.

Flew home from DC, went walking hours later and saw this beautiful phenomenon, 😃🌅!
According to a bit of research, these are anticrepuscular rays. Behind me (due west), the sun was setting behind some clouds. These are the mirroring of those rays.

Spectacular sunset over Otago Peninsula tonight from the warm NorWester with Anticrepuscular rays & a scattering of mammatus clouds.
![Mammatus (also called mamma[1] or mammatocumulus, meaning "mammary cloud") is a cellular pattern of pouches hanging underneath the base of a cloud, typically a cumulonimbus raincloud, although they may be attached to other classes of parent clouds. The name mammatus is derived from the Latin mamma (meaning "udder" or "breast").
Anticrepuscular rays are a meteorological optical phenomenon that occurs when sunlight is scattered by water droplets or dust in the atmosphere.
