Blizzard is already AOTC on this.
Then he--and I cannot stress this enough!--kills kids about it. This is canon. He does a little Tusken genocide in AotC, and then the more infamous and memorable scene of him killing the Younglings in RotS.
This is diegetic and not up to serious interpretation. The fascists just like it.

AOTC was easily the worst star wars movie until rise of skywalker and this has been the critical and fandom consensus on the movie since it came out
phantom menace and revenge of the sith have good bits, AOTC really doesn't
phantom menace and revenge of the sith have good bits, AOTC really doesn't
and honestly Phantom Menace was still better than Attack of the Clones, which (as many noted at the time and afterward) was the nadir of Lucas' ability to write lines that actual human beings would ever say

Fascinated by the idea that AotC Anakin - star of a viral meme based on the scene where he argues for an autocracy - is a “libertarian.”

I am pretty sure he did not (source: that's my high school, we would have nearly overlapped, and AOTC came out when I was in said school). But the local news bragged a lot that he lived in Thornhill!

The prequels had a chance to give us insight into Anakin/Vader, but he’s a non-entity in TPM and is a honking sociopath from the first moment we see him again in AOTC to when he’s turned into bacon at the end of ROTS, and Lucas sure didn’t do jack shit with Padme.

Strong memory of seeing AotC at a midnight showing, in a packed mid-sized theater with a few costumes and lots of excitement (despite Episode 1). Halfway through, first time "I'm bored!" popped into my head during a film. At the end, crowd was dead-silent as we shuffled to our cars. Felt surreal.

This is also incorrect, btw. TPM is the best prequel. Aotc and rots are both awful
Episode III got a truly legendary review in The New Yorker.
Sample: “The general opinion of Revenge of the Sith seems to be that it marks a distinct improvement on the last two episodes…. True, but only in the same way that dying from natural causes is preferable to crucifixion.”
