I miss Aperature, although I will definitely not buy a Mac even if they brought it back

Aperature 2.8 (fixed), basically everything else I'm still kinda tweaking constantly :)

(Body is an Olympus E-PL7, which I've had for like ten days.)

Bonus effect of tracking ships using synthetic aperature radar images : seeing the mountain structure of mountains on the Russian Kola island
NISAR did two passes on the night of the 22nd of October; so it was able to catch the vessels as they sat in Matochkin Shar and then as they left to go north to monitor the planned test(?) on the 23rd of October.

The faint glow of RFI from Pankovo is visible on the earlier image.

I don't know why, but the pregnant Waitress made me think there were other musical references.

it also seemed as if him and the leotard clad woman were acting as "teacher" that's why he dances with the bride and groom.

Aperature dance

ICEYE is pretty much what you'd want: they run Synthetic Aperature Radar (SAR) sats, which are pretty good at ferreting out stuff if you have a specific area to task them on.

Plus AFAIK they're fairly small, so you could probably get some up on Rocket Lab or Ariane launch or three.

Not for strikes far inside Russian-controlled territory (including some of occupied Ukraine)
Widening the aperature a bit, if & when either Trump/Vance have shuffled on or Dems get sufficient majorities, the US military itself should also "rethink reliance" on it given Musk's deception in his X post

(Strange little robot wandering aimlessly around the facility. Certainly not Aperature.)

it might be cringe to say, but it's the monday after the election and god damn it I love this city

Some kind of "Techno art" :
Spotting ground based aircraft radars by the tracks they make on satellites looking at the Earth with radar (SAR = synthetic aperature radar)

Ie aircraft radars send eæectromag was that satellite based radars also pick up...making those bands
Comparison of NISAR Frequency A (cf 1.2575 GHz) & Sentinel 1 (cf 5.405 GHz) synthetic aperture radar views of Pankovo, Novaya Zemlya on 15th of October 2026.

Different bands, but the RFI "glow" from the site is visible in NISAR, while the strong RF interference bands are striking in Sentinel 1.

Yeah neural boosted + stimulant + not overencumbered makes you feel like you've got the Aperature Science Long-Fall Boots equipped.

Experimenting with it, I am starting to understand why he did what he did. NB and Gemini don't seem to understand that the little camera icon and dots are a scene camera unless you inform it. The icon, lens and aperature data make that clearer to the model.

It seems like NB2 can do this.
What he did was make a standard "not to scale" diagram on a large open grid paper pad, roughing out our front yard. He then drew a little camera icon with a field of view and wrote the aperture and focal length of his phone camera next to it.

He took a photo of that pad, and then my front yard.

He recognizes desire and will as merely the sound of the great wind blowing through the aperature of a peculiar body and situation, not something he has to (heavens forefend) take responsibility for! This wind he rides like a horse, an expedience, an energy of transformation and not more.

aren’t many late era sets infanously laggy and have terrible aperature grills
October 12, 2026 at 6:59 PM
we chose aperature science because the competition was alacking

Not only can the tidal forces rip a larger ship apart or the aperature evaporate in a burst of energy against a hull

But the ejecta could be channeled through an interconnected webbing of wormholes into another mine close to the target

Pentax K2 is a sleeper. Flagship model from just before the K-1000. Aperature priority option as well as manual. Can still shoot without a battery at fast shutter speeds.

iOS camera app limitation workaround? Some devs found hacks to add more manual controls to the iPhone 18 Pro, including variable aperture settings. Might come in handy for some of you ... https://www.theverge.com/tech/1000729/moment-pro-blackmagic-camera-ii-ios-app-iphone-18-pro-max-aperature-camera
These camera apps give you more control over the iPhone 18 Pro’s aperture
One of the questionable limitations of the iPhone 18 Pro's new main camera with a variable aperture is that you're limited to just four settings in the native iOS' camera app in manual mode: f/1.48, f/1.8, f/2.8, and f/4. Those same limitations are also in place when the app is adjusting the iris it

looks like you running that lens somewhere in the 3 to 5 range (guesstimating from the depth of focus). for those kinds of shoots i like to get down to about 24 mm so i'm up close and then run the aperature around f5 to f8 - tighter framing. if you've got a lens in that range, try it for headshots

(when looking for older camera lenses)

"you won't be able to use P/S modes on your camera; only manual and aperature"

ok, and? 😅

Yall I do not think the lumix 40mm is taking as beautiful images as the sigma 45mm in anyway except that up close at wide aperature it is in fact sharp.

not really a fan of how they just plopped portal 2 glados in, though i guess that comes with the portal 2 artstyle so it's fine. there was also a huge ERROR model during the end cutscene, idk how that wasn't caught during the 15 year(?!) development

In my head canon: Chell returns to Aperature labs, makes her way to GlaDOS's chamber, reveals she's fixed her muteness so she can apologize for everything, and then tells GlaDOS she's returned for those horrifying medical experiments she was promised.

I'm guessing the aperature is auto-adjusting because it thinks the black clothes is darkness, so the aperature of the lens opens (much like our pupils dialating) to to expose light better for a clearer image, but it is overcompensating and now light exposure is too high.
