#assumption
Not an assumption I would make tbh.
Yeah but the expected Latino vote realignment to D isnt likely to snap back to R.

My assumption is the family free-feeds them, and the jumbo cat eats all the food

the phrase "basic dni criteria" is so funny to me whenever i see it in someone's bio. both the assumption that everyone knows what that means, and the assumption that like a neonazi or whatever will see that and go "ah jeez i better not pester this person, it'd violate their DNI"

I operate under the assumption that every pro athlete is a MAGA bozo so it's always great when one of them proves otherwise.

There’s a common assumption that most military voters lean Republican.

With “Low T Pete” Hegseth in charge, I wouldn’t be so sure that holds.

Hegseth isn’t strengthening our military. He’s giving our troops reasons to walk away from it.

There is also an assumption that Republicans will just continue to be nice little lapdogs in the face of these losses, and I really don't think so.

I’d like to join.

(you’d think my extra two letters would distinguish us, but that would be an incorrect assumption)

I mean that’s my baseline assumption here but to even be in “polls are wildly off” territory here is nuts

the british home office acts under the assumption that poor people do not have the right to fall in love because they are less human and less british
Yet again, an angle on this which never gets an airing, which few British people seem aware of or care about, is the destructive effect on cross-border relationships (British citz & foreign spouses).

Avenues to people settling together in UK or elsewhere, are shrivelling & disappearing year by year
Shabana Mahmood will announce - finally - the sweeping changes to indefinite leave to remain.

Most will have to wait 10 years to settle, though there are means to reduce it, but there are expected to be concessions for care workers already here.

More tomorrow

Big assumption with the heaven bit for her and Lindsey.

GOOD ASSUMPTION.
November 3, 2026 at 11:47 PM
it's actually terrifying how much of the modern world depends on the assumption that some random person on github will continue to feel like maintaining something
November 3, 2026 at 7:00 PM
Both machines run on the same assumption, that a local race is too small to matter. Talarico just showed the assumption is the vulnerability. Moscow and Musk spent as if the district were a proxy war and lost the ground game.
November 4, 2026 at 4:09 AM
i always find it clarifying to start from the assumption that people in power are making the choices they want to make
November 3, 2026 at 10:25 PM
His only mistake of the campaign was the assumption that Fox viewers can read.
November 2, 2026 at 10:11 PM
I'll be real this is a solid assumption on everything he's done this year. Not always spot on but often lol.
I think we just have to assume everything Trump says today is panicked improv.
November 3, 2026 at 3:03 PM
any assumption of trerason is therefore foolish
November 4, 2026 at 4:48 AM
Also this assumption I guess depends on "well the special elections were like that for other reasons. the shy Trump voter wasn't real for those, but they're real for November"
November 2, 2026 at 2:14 AM
i'm mostly annoyed by their apparent assumption that things can only be bad-co-opted, never good-co-opted
November 3, 2026 at 6:23 PM
That was my assumption, yes
November 3, 2026 at 12:11 AM
the assumption, basically, is that the shy trump voter is out there, he doesn’t want to talk to them, and he is going to show up to vote on Election Day

and, look, we all have 2016/2024 PTSD

maybe they’re right

but what if they aren’t?
November 2, 2026 at 2:13 AM
This may sound crazy to some, but Trump has shown repeatedly that when something is popular he is afraid to push back.

Democrats should go in with the assumption that popular policies like universal healthcare can not just be passed, but also not vetoed.

This is my default assumption, too.
November 3, 2026 at 12:45 AM
This has been my assumption all day. I think on balance this will help him, though I suspect it won’t matter either way for the result. Even Dems I’ve spoken to who were lukewarm on AES are now hyped to vote for him since they’re so angry about this.
🚨BACKFIRE OF THE YEAR?

Abdul El-Sayed’s campaign says it raised a staggering $1.2 MILLION in just four hours after Haley Stevens endorsed Mike Rogers.

Turns out betraying Democratic voters has consequences.

Now turn that anger into votes. Show up. Bring friends. Make a plan. Vote Abdul El-Sayed.
