Pure tone audiometry
So first specialist visit today, though it was just an audiometry test. My hearing is in the normal range on both, but my left is definitely noticeably worse on the graph.

Or she could have seen an experienced GP in the first place who would have said "you don't need a CT Scan and if your hearing lost persists we'll get some audiometry"

Audiometry (n = 17) showed unilateral mild-moderate hearing loss in three patients. VNG (n = 24) was abnormal in 70.8%, most commonly central positional nystagmus (50%). VHIT (71.8%) was abnormal in 43.7%. Migraine family history was present in 81.3% (first-degree 68.8%). (🧵 5/8)

It did get better, the audiometry test showing that it'd gone back to normal, but the tinnitus was still there and I could still feel a difference. An extended frequency audiometry showed that I still have a dropoff at 11kHz. +

Coming up on 1 month post-surgery, have completed 60 days of EMA, 20 sessions of MRI, 16 sessions of fNIRS, 20 sessions of EEG, not to mention blood, saliva, and a host of other data collection. It's been super fun to hang out with folks in my colleagues' labs. (Also a little exhausting!)
