Lee MinJin, the author of Pachinko, was also at the stadium yesterday - reminder she was one of the VERY few people that showed support for Yoongi publicly you-know-when.

I saw the Korean American author Min Jin Lee speak and she mentioned that her publishers didn’t want her use “Pachinko” as the title of her bestselling novel because they thought Americans didn’t know that word.
Really? I knew it as a kid.
Did you know what a pachinko machine was?

I'm excited to go and hear Min Jin Lee on Friday evening at an author event. Pachinko is one the best books I've read in the past 15 years, and I'm looking forward to American Hagwon.

Currently finishing Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. Devastating. I've had to put the book down several times to cope. The author paints family so well.

I know the studies say men don't read fiction, but I'm adding sexy, exclusive book club to my dates. Tell me what you're reading; let's discuss, naked.

Pachinko is an epic historical saga that follows a Korean family over four generations as they fight for survival. At its core, the book is a tribute to the immigrant experience and the desire in all of us to find a place where we can call home and truly belong. A great read
