I just realized that there are people who will see Wildwood and see the Darth Vader cosplaying, bagpiping unicycler and not realize that he’s a real person - not just something Laika made up to make their version of Portland seem weird. The Unipiper is real & amazing.

What a shame! I feel military bands are a way for the military to connect with civilians through music. I like the scene in "Patton" where Montgomery was marching in Sicily with his bagpipers ("Scotland the Brave" I think) and Patton had his band playing John Phillip Sousa. I preferred Monty's.

There's an amazing new ACT emergency services centre down the road from my home and they had an open day today.
It's an amazing place for hosting fire engines and ambulances, plus fantastic facilities for the crews there including gyms, breakout rooms with comfy couches and training facilities.
