Grew this guy from $1 bareroot that I got on clearance - and, I wasn’t sure that it was alive. Couple years later & here we are! 💜 #gardening

Usually I only talk about a company to complain, so let me just say if you're interested in fruit trees in the USA, Mehrabyan is great. Prices are low enough that I was concerned, but I always get really nice big rootstock and grafted trees.

I have posted this rose before - but what a garden performer. In the ground 3 months from bareroot and blooming again.

Absolutely there are more than 3.5%. There were people like me, frantically planting bareroot fruit and nut trees provided by probably the last sustainability grant I’ll ever see. Would have been there, but the click is ticking on these precious trees.

It took a few years to reach flowerhood after being purchased as one of those dead looking which-way-up-do-I-plant-it bareroot things in the post, but it's doing well these days #GardensHour 🌱

Alright, so...take 2 on the multigrafted Asian pear. This one doesn't have the grafts labeled, so I won't know until like 2028 if it's actually Asian pears. That assumes it survives, because I ordered a bareroot, but I appears I got a NO root. Food forests aren't easy. 🌱

Everyone, I need you all to keep us in your thoughts, as I found out the bareroot tree and bushes we've bought for the garden are being shipped out using EVRI 🫠

Went to Lowes and and picked up 12 bags of compost to start our stockpile. Stopped by a local nursery for seeds and picked up a bareroot Western Mayhaw.
Got the first seeds of the year started(artichoke!) and potted the bareroot until I decide on its forever home.
I think I've done enough today.

During our Costco Run they had the bareroot roses for sale.
We got a Moonlight Magic variety so expect photos of these little ones later in the season.
I've been wanting a lavender rose 🌹 💜

It is very dangerous to find an email from Trevor White #roses saying 'be quick' 10% off bareroot roses ends tomorrow. So I have ordered Damask 'Amande Paternotte' (Vibert, 1845), Gallica 'Belle sans Flatterie' (Godefroy, 1806) & Rambler 'Ayrshire Splendens' (Rivers, 1835). 🌹

Now this is wonderfully unique Geranium. It took a year to get settled from bareroot (I think it is more common across the pond) so it didn’t bloom until now but imagine my delight that it popped up this year looking like this.
