The last time we've gotten a Pillar block was Polished Basalt in 2020.
The last time we got a "named" pillar was the Purpur Pillar in 2016.
Other than those we have Quartz Pillars.
This Calcite Pillar is BEAUTIFUL. Really gives ancient marble column!

Here is the The sundial constructed of basalt columns from the Colombia River Gorge. A human can stand on the rectangle rock piece on a sunny day and one’s shadow then falls on the numbered columns giving the time! 🌱 Ben is quite tall but he gives some perspective.

I've always loved those thin streaks (planes?) of quartz in basalt.
I grew up around granite and I get excited seeing it used for roadbuilding and stairs (Brazil, India, etc).
And basalt: The perfect black pixel in calçada with quartz for white pixel (Brazil, Portugal).
