I came up with a most profound thought at dinner tonight:
Conservative Conventions are the new bathouses!
I mean they crash Grindr.

The only thing missing is poppers and an actual bathouse,but the elements are there.

Of course, both immersion baths and steam baths were used everywhere. The Iberian Peninsula is an interesting example. After the christian conquest of Al-Andalus, the system of "hammâm" (steam baths) not only remained, but also spread throughout the peninsula to areas beyond its influence.
