I didn't vote for the BC Conservatives, but now that we have a new government I hope it can put #BCEd back on track after 25 years of disastrous leadership from the Ministry of Education. Most of Ungerleider's post rings true. #bcedchat #bcpoli

Yes, and somebody's career capital will be cut short at the Ministry because of it. I wonder if Doerksen and the Ed. minister will be willing to take on the Ministry leadership like Harcourt had to. #bced

Darker mornings = danger to pedestrians, especially our kiddos walking to school/bus stops.

Slow down, keep your head on a swivel, be aware of the danger.

If you hit someone it's not just their life that changes forever, yours will too

We support students with diverse abilities in all of BC including those who live along the 60th parallel north. Tim and Adam recently visited #Atlin School up in BC's northwest corner, #SD87 (Stikine). They made time to pan for gold & view grizzlies (from afar).

Aside from the dastardly move to call snap elxn.

One thing that will stick w me forever is the sheer hypocrisy of BCNDP & its members.

Esp when they talk about kids.

They STILL underfund #BCEd!

And 35,000 Disabled kids're facing BCNDP cuts to supports; 35K ADDIT'L fams facing financial hardship.
The BC NDP is bigger than one person. It’s a team that believes that access to healthcare shouldn’t depend on your ability to pay; that kids should have quality education; that every worker deserves safe work and fair compensation;

Example: This morning, I sent this letter (image w/ alt text) to each of Vancouver’s incoming school trustees. To be clear, it doesn’t stop here: we also have to attend meetings/sign up to speak and generally keep our foot on the gas. But it starts simple and it starts now. #BCPoli #BCEd #bcedchat

Make public education a priority this provincial election.
As you consider the issues that matter most this election, make public education part of the conversation. Ask candidates where they stand on the importance of public education.
