Downstream of the policy choice to rely on firefighters as EMTs (in their too-big trucks) is that I, a T1D, cannot get glucagon needed to revive me in a timely manner in an emergency. Only AEMTs/paramedics can give it. beyondtype1.org/emts-paramed...
